I don't know if anyone else is experiencing these problems, but I am, and its rather annoying sometimes.
First, the website is pretty slow... Don't know if this is the host or what not but sometimes takes a minute or two to load a page. Feels like 56k all over again.
Next, sometimes I can post in forums, sometimes I cant stating only users of a certain user group can post. Or sometimes it will let me. I get this a lot of forums like the general discussion and what not... I couldn't even reply to Spug's "Weekly Raiding" topic in general.
Not sure if the portal is messed up in the coding or what, but makes the site inaccessible sometimes. I know not many ppl post here, but maybe these issues might help fix it a bit?
I honestly think a lot of the coding is messed up some how. When I click reply to this thread, sometimes i get the "not in proper user group" STILL after you changing the user group, then sometimes when I click the "reply" button like I just did, it takes me to my user profile, then after refreshing again it finally let me reply to this topic!
As for the web host I've offered it before, it still stands if you need an FTP account with pretty much unlimited space/bandwidth. I can set up as many SQL databases needed as well.
I know you're worried about certain things you've addressed when I offered before, but I've had this same web server for almost 3 years now, and have been in the guild nearly that long if I recall.... so I'm not going anywhere, nor is the web server
Maybe a whole new website is in order with a new free web server? I can help with this as well, I have this CMS called E107 that has quite a few slick WoW themes already installed on my server that never got any use. If you'd like to use that, all you would have to do is point your domain to my name servers.
Totally your call, I'm just putting the suggestion out there as one of the full time users of the current site. _________________
