How is it? I never played the first one or had any draw to play it. Am I missing something? _________________

Mass Effect 2

I would play it, but it's single player, and although I do like exploring gameworlds; it's more fun with someone else to tag along with. _________________

Camlost, if you missed ME1, you can get it for real cheap now. If you like RPG's, especially epic sci-fi RPG's, you should like it. It got rave reviews and i've played through the first one several times. Definitely worth a look.
And by the time you finish ME1, ME2 should be discounted, so it'd be a win/win. _________________

Finished last night. ~32 hours played. Will definitely be playing through again, just not right away. Epic story, and they left it open for a sequel (naturally). _________________

Yep. I was on tuesday, even used my new authenticator. Still suffering withdrawl, it was a great single player experience. Bioware does know how to make an RPG. Even though i stopped playing DA:O, the combat was too annoying to play that one to completion. If i wanted to micromanage every little thing my guys did, i'd play an RTS. _________________

I totally agree about DA:O. I stopped for a while too.
I started playing again and lowered the difficulty to easy. It's more enjoyable.
I still don't love the combat, but now I can kind of blow through it without too much strategy, which lets me enjoy the story. _________________
