I'm stopping in to say hello to everyone. I know my departure was abrupt only because I hate saying goodbye. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you enjoyed the holidays.
I can't say I miss playing WOW all that much but I am thinking about trying out the expansion. The only thing I miss is the guild. It was almost worth paying $15 a month to hear you guys clown around on vent, lol. But I knew that there wasn't enough left in WOW to keep me interested, and towards the end, I passed on all loot because I knew my days were numbered.
I check out the website from time to time. It's nice to see new members in SS and it's good to see the guild is moving forward in raid progression. Wish there were some new pics of first kills.
I haven't really been playing any games only because my PC is on it's last leg. Currently looking for a new PC, on that will keep up with the game developer arms race. If anyone has a suggestion (around $1,500 price range) let me know. If I get a new PC, I may come back for a month to see how much I miss the game. I'm keeping a close eye on Star Wars The Old Republic, as I'm a fan of BioWare.
Well, good luck in your WOW adventures Stormseekers. I may see you in a month or two, if my account hasn't been hacked

Nice to hear from you.
As to a new PC, i'd build my own. If this is not something you are comfortable doing, i would buy a regular mid range PC from say, dell, and upgrade the video card to something decent.
If that link works, that is a nice PC, and less that $800. That leaves you plenty to add in a nice video card. Something like the ATI 5800 series HD cards. A quick look on newegg says they go for around $300. So for ~1100 you would have a machine that is very capable of running current and even next gen games. _________________

Great to Hear from you again, Palance. Hope you are doing well. As for new first kills, we did add the first 2 bosses in ToC this weekend. Not bad for a first time. I didn't get screenshots though
It will be real nice to see you in-game again, but it's still great to know you still think about us. Your toons seem to be right where you left them. _________________

Hey Spug, thanks for the advice. I've been looking into Dell PCs. Heya Cal, hope you're feeling better. I saw you were looking at a PC from IBUYPOWER a while ago. I wanted to know if you finally got it and how it was running. I was thinking of getting one custom built from them but I've read a lot of bad reviews regarding their services. I'm curious if it's worth getting the professional wiring, Tuniq TX-2 putty and their packaging system? I could also use some opinions about a build using the Intel i7 860, Radeon HD 5850, 4GB Ram and ASUS P7P55D LE chipset? Will this be good enough for COD MW2 or any other game that's fairly demanding on a PC?
Again, I hope everyone is well. Thanks for any advice and I may see you in game soon.

Well, the days of demanding PC games is long gone. Since pretty much everything is a console port anymore, all you have to do is get a little better than an X-box level system, and you're all set. I can run pretty much everything out there right now, at my monitors native res (1680x1050) with all the eye candy turned on with no issues. And i am running a core2 duo extreme! (2 core 2.93Ghz) and dual 8800GTX video cards.
And i7 system and a 5850 would be even better, so no issues there at all. I know guys running a system like you posted running and eye-finity system with 3 monitors, without any issues. _________________
Hey again everyone. Just stopped in to say I just ordered a new PC, finally. I should have it in a couple of weeks, and if it isn't DOA, I hope to see all of you in game soon. I'm not sure how much game time I'll have do to a crazy work schedule, but that could keep me from getting burned out again
